Using your notebook
UMTS variant and SIM card (optional)

Depending on the particular equipment of your notebook, it may be equipped with a UMTS
module which you can use with the aid of a SIM card.
The UMTS module can be switched on and off with the switch for the wireless components
– see "
Wireless LAN/ Bluetooth wireless components (optional)".
If UMTS reception is not sufficient when using the device as a Tablet PC you can use it is
as a notebook instead – see "
Select display orientation (portrait or landscape orientation)".

Follow the instructions supplied by the provider of the SIM card.
Inserting the SIM card
► Switch your notebook off.
► Close the LCD screen.
► Unplug the mains plug of the mains adapter from the mains socket.
► Disconnect all cables connected to the notebook.
► Open the protective rubber cover over the SIM card slot.

► If necessary, open the clip (a) of the SIM card.
► Slide the SIM card as shown into the slot (1) until it engages.
► Slide the clip (a) of the SIM card in the direction of the arrow (2).
► Close the protective rubber cover over the SIM card slot.
► Reconnect the cables that you disconnected before.
