Virtualization Technology (VT-x)
This is used to suppo rt the visualization of platform hardware and several software
environments.BasedonVirtualMachineExtensions (VMX) t o support the use of s everal
software enviro nments using virtu al computers. Virtualization technology extends the
processor suppo rt for virt ualization purposes with the 16 Bit and 32 Bit prote cted modes
and with the Intel® Extended Memory 64 Technology (EM64T) mode .
Disabled
A Virtual Machine Monitor (VMM) cannot use the additional hardw are features.
Enabled
A VMM can use the additional hardware features.
Virtualization Technology (Intel VT-d)
VT-d is a hardware support for t he co mmon use of I/O devices by several virtual
machines. VMM systems (Virtual Machine Monitor) can use VT-d to manage several
virtual machines which access the same I/O devices.
Disabled
VT-d is disabled and is not available for VMMs.
Enabled VT-d is available.
NX Memory Protection
Defines the protection for executable memory areas (anti-virus protection). Th e function
is only effective if it is also supported by the operating system.
Enabled
Enables the operating system to switch on the function "Execute Disable".
Disabled
Prevents the operating system from being able to s witch on the function "Execute
Disable".
Adjacent C ache Line Prefe tch
This is available if the processor offers a mechanism for loading an additional adjacent
64Byte "Cache Line" during ever y cache request of the processor.
Enabled
The processor loads the requested cache line and the adjacent cache line.
Disabled The processor loads the requested cache line.
Hardware Prefetch
Enables a prefetch to the hardware.
With this option yo u can change the performance settings for non-standard
applications. Fujitsu Technology Solutions recommends that, for standard
applications, you should not deviate from the default settings.
Enabled
Activates the hardware prefetcher of the CPU.
Disabled
Deactivates the hardwa re prefetcher of the CPU.
