4.6 Replacing fans
4.6.1 Replacing the front fan module (system fan 1)
Ê Shut down the server and disconnect the AC power cord from the system.
Ê Remove the side cover as described in section 4.1.1.1 on page 23.
Ê Bring the server to its horizontal position.
Ê Open the HDD cage as described in section 4.1.2.1 on page 25.
Ê Remove the air duct as described in section 4.1.4.1 on page 33.

Ê Disconnect the FAN1 SYS connector of the defective fan module from the
system board.
