Air/steam lock in pump Check for bad steam traps.
Check for check valve in water feed
line.
Reduce temperature of the
feedwater tank.
Blocked water feed line Check and clean if necessary.
Impellers damaged Replace pump.
Feedwater pump will not
start in time
Probe connections Check for tightness and
clean the connections.
Dirty probes Clean or replace.
Water level relay Replace.
Earth connection Check for tightness and clean.
Low water alarm/burner
shut-off will not act in time
Probe connections Check for tightness and clean the
connections.

Starting the boiler, the high
limit steam pressure limit is
illuminated and the burner
stops

On/off pressure switch has failed. Check pressure switch replace as
required.
