Description
Notes
Repeater Type
VRX
Information only
VRS-EP
Compatible
Mode Enabled
Enable / Disable
Check box
Enables / Disables VRS-EP compatible
mode of operation.
If Disable, rest of fields
in this table will be
inactive
Base Repeater
Enable / Disable
Check box
When enabled, the non-Priority Analog
VR (AVR) will wait extra 300ms for the
MSU of the Priority AVR to repeat the
Local PSU inbound call to the Base
before it updates its delay counter.
Affects half duplex
AVRS voting when
Base Repeater is
present.
Mobile Detector
Enable / Disable
Check box
When enabled, the non-Priority AVR
steers the MSU to a simplex channel
programmed with the original selected
or steered MSU channel TX frequency
and monitors for Primary AVR activity
during inbound Local PSU calls. If such
activity is detected, the AVR does not
change its delay counter. If no activity is
detected, the AVR starts incrementing
its delay counter until it becomes a
Priority and starts repeating the LPSU
inbound call.
Affects half duplex
AVRS voting when no
Base Repeater is
present.
Applicable to VHF and
UHF MSU channels
only. Not applicable to
700/800 MHz MSU.
Trunking
Access Tones
Enable / Disable
Check box
Enables the AVR sending of ‘talk
permit’, ‘System busy’ or ‘talk prohibit’
tones over the air. Requires the LPSU
user to do a quick PTT and then release
to be able to receive and hear the
access tones. If talk permit tone is
received, the LPSU user can PTT again
and talk.
Applies to Trunking
Systems only.
In Car Monitor
Default
Base
Access Ack &
TOT Tones
Enable / Disable
Check box
Enables the AVR Trailing tones, which
are sent over the air to the LPSU users
at the end of the call to indicate if the
MSU was keyed up or not during the
LPSU call.
Singletone
Frequency
Read only
Hard coded tone sent by the AVR upon
activation to alert other AVR units that
may be present at the same scene that
a new Priority AVR is activated. Other
AVRs that receive the tone increment
their delay counter.
Singletone
Duration
Read only
Hard coded duration of the AVR
Singletone.
Repeat Mode
Mob Audio Repeat
Mob PL Decode
If ‘Mob Audio Repeat’ is selected, the
AVR repeats any outbound call that is
heard on the MSU speaker regardless
of if the call is qualified or not.
If ‘Mob PL Decode’ is selected, the AVR
only repeats qualified MSU calls,
received with valid PL.
TOT Duration
Infinite
30 sec
60 sec
120 sec
Determines the maximum duration of
the AVR transmitter staying keyed up.
After the expiration of the timer, the
AVR Transmitter is keyed off and the
AVR increments its delay state, so it is
no longer a Priority unit.
