This Vehicle Repeater System with Enhanced Protocol (VRS-EP) section only applicable for
VRX1000 when VRS-EP Compatible Mode Enabled is selected.

Tx / Rx Steering
Selects the Analog VR (AVR) Steering
mode as follows:
‘Disabled’ = No steering.
‘Tx Only Steering’ = The MSU is
steered to the corresponding mode
determined by the PL of the LPSU
transmission. When the LPSU dekeys,
the MSU returns to the originally
selected mode.
‘Tx Steer / Rx Latch’ = The MSU is
steered to the corresponding mode
determined by the PL of the LPSU
transmission. When the LPSU dekeys,
the MSU stays on the new mode and
does not go back to the original mode.
‘Tx / Rx Steering’ = The MSU is
steered to the corresponding mode
determined by the PL of the LPSU
transmission. When the LPSU dekeys,
the MSU returns to the originally
selected mode after 6 seconds.
Duplication of the same
setting on the ‘VRS-EP
Options’ screen
Sets the PL frequency used for
steering or emergency status /
message as programmed in the
corresponding fields.
Alternative PL designation.
Zone / Channel
Select Mode
Emer Alarm
Message
Status
Selects the desired AVR action upon
detection of the corresponding PL:
• MSU stays on the selected mode;
• MSU is steered to the
programmed mode corresponding
to the received PL
• MSU sends an Emergency Alarm
• MSU sends programmed status /
message (trunking systems only)
Sets the ‘Status’ / ‘Message’ number
that is sent upon detection of the
corresponding PL.
Requires the Status /
Message to be
programmed in the MSU.
Selects the Zone # where the MSU is
steered to upon detection of the
programmed PL.
Selects the Channel # Located in the
specified Zone # where the MSU is
steered to upon detection of the
programmed PL.
