Gantner Instruments Test & Measurement GmbH
Example: Unload the sensor or turn the calibration unit to 0, edit in the field
Point 1
0.000 kN and click on the
button
Set value
. The actual input value will be shown as 0,000 kN. Load the sensor or turn the
calibration unit to the target value (e.g. 2 mV/V), edit the field
Point 2
10.000 kN and click the button
Set
value
. The actual engineering value will be shown as 10.000 kN.
2 point calibration with available data
In many cases a real loading for calibration reasons s not possible. This method offers the possibility to set a pair of
two values to fix the calibration. The sensor manufacturer usually will provide these values or a calibration protocol.
Edit point 1 and point 2. Partial ranges like 0.5 mV/V can be selected by writing the values in the fields.
Example: Point 1 0 mV/V is equivalent to 0.000 kN
Point 2 2 mV/V is equivalent to 10.000 kN
Factor and offset
A not very common but existing method is to set a factor and an offset to calibrate. This are strictly mathematic
calculations unconsidered the unit. Edit the Factor and the offset.
