2.12 Undercurrent protection (“I< protection” menu)
This menu contains undercurrent protection functions.
2.12.1 Undercurrent protection
The undercurrent protection included within the P442 and P444 relays consists of two
independent stages.
Two stages are included to provide both alarm and trip stages, where required. Alternatively,
different time settings may be required depending on the severity of the current dip.

The protection is activated with:
– first digit = 1 activates I<1 status,
– second digit = 1 activates I<2 status.
I<1 Status Disabled Disabled / Enabled
Activates or deactivates the first stage undercurrent status
. The two following submenus are
visible when I<1 status is enabled.
I<1 Current Set 0.05 0.08*I1 4*I1 0.01*I1
Pick-up setting for first stage undercurrent element.
I<1 time Delay 1 0 100 0.01
Setting for the first stage undercurrent time-delay.
I<2 Status Disabled Disabled / Enabled
Activates or deactivates the second stage undercurrent status
