The finished pack frame assembly is shown at the left
in Figure 14. Note that the sensor and GPS mast are separated
by the greatest lateral distance and that the antenna mast has its
associated covering. The cables may be further secured to the
pack frame with small Velcro straps included in the shipping
container.
Additional cable is provides in the cable bag should
you need it. Effort should be made to limit the amount of
exposed cable and subsequent snagging on branches which will
occur during normal survey operations. Stow as much cable in
the cable bag as possible.
The assembled pack frame is now ready for battery
installation or battery replacement. The following section
describes this process. After battery installation the system is
ready for transport to the survey start point or for mounting on
the survey operator.
