Status Words
Status Words indicate to the remote interface device the status of the welding sequence,
and the status of the control and functionality of accessories in general.
Status Word 1
Status Word 1 defines the standard welding outputs

Status Word 1 –Functional description
Bit Signal Function
0 SEQ. END Bit = 1
. When operating in “single spot” mode,
indicates the end of the sequence, if the welding
cycle has been completed without anomalies.
1 RICHRAV Bit = 1
. The welding control requires electrode to
be dressed
The bit is set to 0 when dressing gives
confirmation through the signal “electrode dressing
end ”.
2 PREALARM Bit = 1
. One of the electrodes has reached the
programmed value for warning of electrode wear
3 RICHEL Bit = 1
. One of the electrodes has reached the
value programmed for end of electrode life.
The maximum electrode life has been reached.
The bit is set to 0 when the counter has been
reset.
4 READY Bit = 1
. The welding control is ready to perform a
welding cycle.
5 ALARM1 Bit = 1
. During the last welding cycle an anomaly
occurred in the welding process.
The bit will be set to 0 after “ reset alarms
