Flushing
•Flushbefore
changing fluids, before fluid can dry
in the equipm
ent, at the end of the day, before
storing, and
before repairing equipment.
•Flushatthe
lowest pressure possible. Check
connectors
for leaks and tighten as necessary.
•Flushwitha
fluid that is compatible with the fluid
being dispe
nsed and the equipment wetted parts.
To reduce t
he risk of fire, explosion, or electric
shock, tu
rn OFF (O) the ES On-Off switch before
flushing t
he gun.
NOTICE
Do not us
e methylene chloride as a flushing or
cleanin
g solvent with this gun as it will damage
nylon co
mponents.
1. Turn OFF
(O) the ES On-Off switch.
2. Follow the Pr
essure Relief Procedure, page 27.
3. Change the fluid source to solvent, or disconnect
the fluid line and connect a solvent supply line
to the gun.
4. Point the gun into a grounded metal pail. Flush
until clean solvent flows from the gun.
5. Follow the Pressure Relief Procedure, page 27.
6. Shut o
ff or disconnect the solvent line.
7. Hang t
he gun from its hook, with the nozzle
poin
ting down.
8. When ready to spray again, reconnect
the fluid supply line. Follow the
Gun Setup Checklist, page 18.
