9 TROUBLESHOOTING

The plotter can’t
recognize the Y direction
of the media size, and it
displays the maximum
media width.
Is the push roller sensor disabling? Set the pinch roller sensor enable setting
in the ADVANCE menu.]
Set the push roller detection function to
the enable.
MENU --> ADV. --> page 4/4 --> 2 PUSH
ROLLER SENSOR --> 1 ENABLED
The plotter can’t
recognize the X direction
of the media size.
Is the media sensor disabling? Set the media detection function to the
enable.
MENU --> ADV. --> page 4/4 --> 1
MEDIA SENSOR --> 1 ENABLED
The media is fed at an
angle.
Conrm the right and left edges of
push rollers pressures are same
setting and it is not weak pressure.
Conrm the middle of push rollers
pressures are not higher than the
right and left edges of push rollers.
Set the right and left edges of push
rollers pressures to same setting and it is
not weak pressure.
Set the middle of push rollers pressures
to same pressure of right and left edges
of push rollers pressures, or lower than
the right and left edges of push rollers.
Conrm the right and left edges of
push rollers are onto the media when
the media is feeding.
Set the media straightly.
Adjust the push roller positions to have
enough margin from the media edges.
Are the pinch rollers worn down? Replace the pinch roller(s) if the pinch
rollers worn down.
Is there anything on the grid roller?
(Dust, glue etc.)
Clean the grid roller with a brush.
Is the drive roller worn down? Replace the grid roller if the pinch rollers
worn down.
Does the media have enough
adhesive strength between the
surface and the base media?
When weak adhesive strength media is
used for the wider and longer cutting, the
surface of media peels off from the base
media by the weight of media while the
media is feeding, and then the media will
skew.
Slow down the cutting speed to reduce
the Inertial force.
Or
Use the media of strong adhesive
strength.
The media width does
not display correctly.
The media width is detected by the
positions of right and left push rollers.
Conrm the right and left push rollers
are set onto the both media edges.
Set the right and left push rollers to the
both media edges where on the grid
rollers.
