3. Press the fuel pump (7) 6 times.
4. Firmly hold the device with one hand
at the upper shaft tube (11). With the
other hand pull the starter cable at the
starter handle (3) quickly several times
in succession until the engine starts.
Caution! Do not pull the stater cable
out too far- DANGER OF BREAKAGE!
5. Set the choke lever (4) into position .
6. Press the throttle (42).
8. Let the engine warm up for about 10-
15 seconds.
8. To work, keep the throttle lock (41)
pressed down and operate the throttle
(42).
9. When working, hold the cutter above
the ground and slowly swivel the de-
vice back and forth like a cutter in an
equal arch.
If the engine fails to start after several
attempts, follow the instructions in the
chapter on “Troubleshooting”.
10. Stopping the engine:
Release the throttle (42) and set the
On/O󰀨 switch (40) on the switching
element (23) to “O󰀨”
STOP
.
Operation
Working Notes
When cutting, observe the country-
specic / local regulations.
Do not cut during commonly applica-
ble quiet periods.
Solid objects such as stones, metal
pieces or similar must be removed.
These can be thrown out and there-
fore result in personal or property
damage.
When cutting in high bushes or hedg-
es, the working height should be at
least 15 cm. This prevents the risk to
animals, e.g. hedgehogs.
Work safely and considerately!
Always hold the equipment rmly and
securely with both hands
(see pic. 8).
Cut only grass and weeds. Be aware
of roots or tree stumps – risk of trip-
ping.
Work considerately and endanger no-
body when cutting. Work quietly and
carefully.
Work only in adequate visibility and
lighting conditions.
Keep an eye on the cutting head.
Never cut above shoulder height.
Never replace the plastic cord with a
steel wire – risk of injury and damage.
Do not work on a ladder.
Work only on rm and stable bases.
Always carry the equipment suspend-
ed by the shoulder strap or on the
tube.
