8.1 How many modules are possible at what cable length?
The strain gages or sensors connected to the CANHEAD modules are fed with
the supply voltage through the bus line. Therefore, the bus length is limited, if a
major number of CANHEADs is connected to one bus line.
In the most unfavorable case, all CANHEAD modules are arranged in close
proximity to each other. Using Devicenet Thin Media cable and taking into
account the ambient temperature results in maximum bus lengths as specified
in the table (see table specifying the maximum bus lengths in the technical
Datasheet).
