7. Check to make sure that the termination resistors are correctly configured.
Here is how
to check that the termination is correctly configured:
Terminator Location
If you see a row of pin sockets, the termination resistors have been
removed. The resistors are still present if you see resistors installed in
the sockets. If the device should be unterminated and the resistors are
present, remove them with a pair of long-nose pliers. If they are removed
but should be present, contact your Sales and Service Office.
