Example 5 - Increased Tuning Linearity
Function
This example shows how you can increase the Tuning Linearity
, using the HP-IB
command
WAVEACT
. Figure 6-2 shows the measurement setup.

The tunable laser source and wavelength meter are initialized. The TLS is then
programmed to the rst wavelength of the sweep: for example, 1550.000 nm.
The actual wavelength is read from the wavelength meter, which might be
1550.018 nm. The dierence between the measured and programmed values is
