Compaq Utilities help you configure and test the computer and
Compaq options. To run Compaq Utilities, follow these steps:
1. Turn on or restart the computer.
To restart the computer, click the Start buttonÆShut
DownÆRestart the ComputerÆYes.
2. Press
F10
as soon as the cursor appears near the upper-right
corner of the screen.
NOTE:
You have about two seconds to press
F10.
If you do not
press
F10
quickly enough, restart the computer and try again.
3. If prompted, select a language.
4. Select Computer Setup or one of the diagnostics utilities from
the following menu that appears:

Computer Setup
■
Computer Checkup (TEST)
■
View System Information (INSPECT)
■
Prepare Computer for a Compaq Service Call (RemotePaq)
(Not on menu for all models and geographical regions)
■
Create Diagnostics Diskette
■
Manage Diagnostics Partition
■
Exit from This Utility
