This chapter describes the computer keyboard features, including
the EasyPoint III pointing device and mouse buttons, hotkeys,
embedded numeric keypad, and programmable keys.
Using the Pointing Device and Mouse Buttons
The EasyPoint III pointing device and mouse buttons are built into
the keyboard for convenient, easy use. The pointing device is
between the letters G, H, and B, and the mouse buttons are in front
of the spacebar.
With either index finger, push the pointing device in the direction
that you want to move the onscreen pointer. Click the mouse
buttons with either thumb. When instructed to click or double-
click, press the left mouse button. When instructed to right-click,
press the right mouse button.
NOTE:
If the pointing device cap becomes soiled or damaged, see
Chapter 13, “Maintenance and Travel Guidelines,” for steps to
install one of the spare caps included with the computer.
