Opening the CD-ROM Tray
The CD-ROM drive, included with the computer or purchased as
an option, has a retractable tray for inserting and removing CDs.
To open the CD-ROM tray, press the release button on the front of
the drive
1
when the computer is on.
If a condition such as a power failure prevents you from opening
the tray with the release button, you can open it manually. Ensure
that power is turned off to the computer, then open the CD-ROM
tray by gently inserting a straightened paper clip or metal rod into
the small hole
2
to the right of the release button.
NOTE:
The paper clip or metal rod should be approximately 1/16
inches (1.6 mm) in diameter and at least 1 3/8 inches (34.9 mm) in
length.
Close the CD-ROM tray by pushing on the front panel of the tray.
