Solving External Pointing Device Problems
The following are common problems with an external mouse,
trackball, or other pointing device.
Problem Possible Cause Solution
External pointing

work
Incorrect device driver
is installed.

instructions.
Device is not properly
connected.
Be sure the pointing
device is securely
connected to the correct
connector.
Cursor skips or
moves abnormally
when using an
