Taking the Battery Pack Out of Ship Mode
When the computer is shipped from the factory, the battery pack
in the battery bay is in ship mode. You must take the battery pack
out of ship mode before the battery pack can be charged and used.
NOTE:
Ship mode is used only when the computer is shipped from
the factory. It is not needed when you travel or ship the computer.
Take the battery pack out of ship mode by removing the battery
pack from the battery bay and then reinserting it:
1. Tilt the computer up

to locate the battery release latch.
2. Slide the battery release latch toward the back of the
computer

3. Place your hand under the battery pack and pull the battery
pack out of the battery bay
