External Mouse or Other Pointing Device,
Keyboard, or Numeric Keypad
You do not have to shut down the computer to connect an external
PS/2-compatible mouse or other pointing device, keyboard, or
numeric keypad. After connecting an external PS/2-compatible
device, you can use either the external or the integrated device.
Parallel and Serial Devices
Window 95 automatically detects most new devices and installs
device drivers. If a new device does not work correctly, double-
click the Add New Hardware icon or Printer icon in Control Panel
and follow instructions to install device drivers.
In Windows NT, refer to the documentation included with a new
device for instructions to install NT drivers and to configure the
device.
NOTE:
The parallel port supports the faster bidirectional
communications of ECP (Extended Capabilities Port) and EPP
(Enhanced Parallel Port).
