Minor Problems Checklist
If you encounter a minor problem with your computer or software
application, go through the following checklist for possible
solutions.
■
Is the computer connected to an external power source, or
does it have a fully charged battery pack installed?
■
Is the computer turned on (the power/suspend light is on)?
■
Are all cables connected properly and securely?
■
Was a nonbootable diskette in the computer diskette drive
when you turned on the computer?
■
Have you installed all needed device drivers?
■
If the problem appears related to a software application, have
you looked for a solution in the software documentation?
NOTE:
A message on the screen does not necessarily mean that an
error condition exists. It may be nothing more than an informa-
tional message about what the computer is doing, or a prompt
reminding you to enter information or press a key.
