42 Installing the Library
2. Identify the proper slot in the card cage for the e2400-FC 2G interface controller. One must be
installed in the base module card cage, and up to three can be installed in the card cage expansion
module (see Figure 29).

TIP: A step stool can be helpful to reach the interface controller slot in the base module card cage
located near the top of the library rack.
3. Using a #1 Phillips screwdriver, remove and discard a slot cover for each interface controller needed
for installation.
4. With the ports labeled TD# (where # denotes port numbers 0 though 3) to your left as you face the
back of the library, slide the controller into the card cage slot. Move the ejector handles inward to
fully seat the card.
5. Using a #1 Phillips screwdriver, tighten the ejector handle screws.
