Expansion Board (Slots 2 and 3)
IMPORTANT: Be sure that the proper drivers for PCI Hot Plug
functionality are installed. Refer to the Documentation CD for more
information.
To remove the component:
CAUTION: If the operating system installed on the server
does not support PCI Hot Plug functionality, power down the server
before removing expansion boards.
1. Extend or remove the server from the rack ("Extending the Server from the
Rack" on page 18, "Removing the Server from the Rack" on page 21).
2. Remove the access panel ("Removing the Access Panel" on page 21).
3. Open the PCI riser cage door.
4. Press the PCI Hot Plug button to remove power from the slot. When the
green power LED on the slot stops flashing, power has been removed from
the slot.
