OR-mode hierarchical CAR configuration example
Network requirements
As shown in Figure 24, configure rate limiting on GigabitEthernet 1/0/1 for video traffic received from
192.168.0.2 and 192.168.0.3. Set the CIR to 240 kbps for each of the video streams according to
their regular average rates. To guarantee that occasional large bursts can pass through, configure
hierarchical CAR to limit total rate of the two video streams to 640 kbps, and drop the exceeding
traffic.
