1.3 Device Structure
This section describes the structure of the S5300.
The S5300 Ethernet switches adopt an integrated hardware platform. An S5300 consists of the
chassis, power supply unit, fan, switch control unit (SCU), and interface card. The width of an
S5300 complies with industry standards, and the S5300 can be installed in an IEC297 cabinet
or an ETSI cabinet.
The S5300 switches include S5300C and S5300TP.
NOTE
The S5300 is 1 U (1 U = 44.45 mm) high.
l The dimensions of S5324TP-SI are 442.0 mm x 220.0 mm x 43.6 mm (width x depth x height).
l The dimensions of an S5300 switch except S5324TP-SI are 442.0 mm x 420.0 mm x 43.6 mm (width
x depth x height).
