Optical module type
l The optical transmitting module of the multitransverse mode is
connected to the multimode fiber.
l The optical transmitting module of the single-longitudinal mode or
multi-longitudinal mode is connected to the single mode fiber.
NOTE
If the optical fiber jumper is used, the connector connected to the device must be
the LC/PC connector, and the connector connected to the remote end must be of
the same type as the remote end interface.

5.7 Stack Cables
This section describes the structure and technical specifications of a stack cable.
Applications
A stack cable of the S5300 is the PCI-E cable, which interconnects the stack interfaces on the
ETPC card. The S5300s connected with a stack cable form a logical switch to implement packet
forwarding.
NOTE
The two ends of a stack cable are covered by the ESD-preventive caps.
