4.5 Battery Module Recharge
CA UTION
Only trained and qualied personnel are allowed to recharge batteries. Wear
insulated gloves and use dedicated insulated tools during the operation.
Observe onsite during recharge and handle any exceptions in a timely manner.
If a battery experiences an abnormality such as bulging or smoking during
recharge, stop charging immediately and dispose of it.
Do not use a third-party device to recharge a battery module. Otherwise, the
battery may be damaged.
Two methods are available for recharging a battery module. Select either one
based on site requirements.

Remove the BCU from the SmartLi
cabinet and install battery modules
in the cabinet. Before removing the
BCU, ensure that the SmartLi is
powered o. If you use this method,
ensure that services are not
aected.

WARNING
Do not use the customer's loads to recharge battery modules because completely
discharging the battery modules will cause the loads to power o.
