During the power-on procedure, power o the battery cabinet immediately if any
fault is detected. Locate the cause and rectify the fault before proceeding with the
procedure.
Fully charge batteries (the SOC must reach 100%) when using them for the rst
time. Replace a battery only if it is faulty. If you do not perform operations as
required, the battery level may be inconsistent, resulting in a long charging time.
For example, it would take two weeks to fully charge the half-charge batteries
and full-charge batteries that are used together.
The capacity of each battery varies after long-term storage. Therefore, you are
advised to reserve at least three days for charging the batteries for the rst power-
on.

6.2.1 Initial Startup of a Single Cabinet
6.2.1.1 Communicating with the UPS
Step 1 Check that the UPS supports communication with SmartLi 3.0 and that a
communications cable is correctly connected between the UPS and the SmartLi.
Step 2 Press and hold the POWER ON/OFF button on the BCU of the SmartLi cabinet for
more than 2s. When the green indicator of the BCU blinks at short intervals,
release the POWER ON/OFF button.
