o MAIN BAND INDICATOR [MAIN]
➥ Lights green while the squelch is opened or a
signal is received on the MAIN band; lights red
while transmitting on the MAIN band.

dition. Brightness increases more than usual when
the ALC function is activated.
➥ Flashes when an off-frequency signal is received

!0 RF GAIN CONTROL/SQUELCH CONTROL
[RF/SQL] (outer control)
Adjusts the RF gain and squelch threshold level for
the MAIN band. The squelch removes noise output
from the speaker (closed condition) when no signal
is received.

available for other modes.
 •12to13o’clockpositionisrecommendedforanysetting
of the [RF/SQL] control.
 •ThesquelchthresholdpositionforSSB/CWmodecan
