■ Receiving and transmitting
NOTE: Transmitting without an antenna may damage the trans-
ceiver. See page 1 for antenna attachment.
Receiving:
qRotate[VOL]toturnpowerON.
w Push [
]or[ ]toselectachannel.
e When receiving a call, adjust the audio output level to a comfort-
able listening level.
Transmitting:
Wait for the channel to become clear to avoid interference.
qWhilepushingandholding[PTT],speakintothemicrophoneat
a normal voice level.
•Whena tonesignalling systemisused,thecallprocedure de-
scribed at left may be necessary.
wRelease[PTT]toreturntoreceive.
IMPORTANT: To maximize the readability of your signal;
1.Pausebrieyafterpushing[PTT].

Holdthe microphone 5to 10 cm(2 to4inches) fromyour
mouth, then speak into the microphone at a normal voice level.
