BATTERYCHARGING
■ Optional battery case
When using the optional battery case attached to the transceiver,
install5×AA(LR6)sizealkalinebatteriesasillustratedatright.
TheBP-226isconstructedtotheIPX4waterproofstandard(IEC
60529,2006).
q Hook your finger under the latch, and open the cover in the direc-
tionofthearrow(q).(Fig.1)
w Then, install 5 ×AA(R6)sizealkalinebatteries.(Fig.2)
•Installthealkalinebatteriesonly.
•Besuretoobservethecorrectpolarity.
•Besuretopintheribbonunderthebatteries.Leaveenoughofthe
ribbon ends extended, to pull when removing the batteries.
eClosethecoverbyttinginthedirectionofthearrow(w)rst,
thencheckthelatchisinplace(e). (Fig.1)
•Besurethegasketandtheribbonaresetcorrectly,anddonot
protrude from the battery case. (Fig.3)
CAUTION:
•Wheninstallingbatteries,makesuretheyareallthesame
brand, type and capacity. Also, do not mix new and old bat-
teries together.
•Keepbatterycontactsclean.It’sagoodideatooccasion-
ally clean them.
•Neverincinerateusedbatterycellssinceinternalbattery
gas may cause them to rupture.
•Neverexposeadetachedbatterycasetowater.Ifthebat-
tery case gets wet, be sure to wipe it dry before using it.
