7.1.3 Applications with viscous and fast flowing media
For applications with viscous or flowing media and / or agitators in which the rod is
exposed to lateral load:
► Probe must not be in contact with tank
wall / structures�
► Increase lateral minimum distances
according to the probe length and the
lateral deflection to be expected�
Corrective measures (e�g� in secondary
processes):
► If possible, fix the probe at the probe
end so that it is electrically conductive�
This can be done by means of a sleeve
or similar devices (fig� 7-3)�
► Check the correct function (in particular
with empty tank)�
