If the pre-aspiration holes are completely covered, most of the irrigation
uid may be aspirated back through the handpiece, impairing cavitation,
thus reducing tissue ablation efcacy.
4. Make sure that the ue is aligned with the pre-aspiration holes at the
distal end of the tip.
