Changing a Tip
9. Slide the ue onto the nosecone base along the tip.
10. Make sure that the ue is aligned with the pre-aspiration holes at the
distal end of the tip.
NOTE
If the pre-aspiration holes are completely covered, most of the irrigation
uid may be aspirated back through the handpiece, impairing cavitation,
thus reducing tissue ablation efcacy.
Remove stylet from the ue and put it aside in the sterile eld if
needed to clear the tip during surgery.
