current limiting protection function can limit the instrument output to prevent the
DUT from being damaged. The operation steps are as follows.
1. Press the composite keys [Shift] + [F-set](Protect) to enter Protect menu
interface.
2. Rotate the knob to select MCL and press [Enter] key to confirm.
3. Rotate the knob to adjust the current limiting point, and press [Enter] key to
confirm.
4. Press [Esc] to exit the protection menu setting.
• When the frequency setting is less than or equal to 100Hz, the MCL value can
be adjusted; if the frequency setting exceeds 100Hz, the MCL value will be
locked at the maximum value. For specific data, please refer to the MCL value in
4.11.6 Restore the as-shipped settings.
• The protection action of MCL is controlled by hardware, and the error is within
±(1-2)A.
4.10.8 Set the Sense Check Protection
Sense Check protection is a programmable and settable function by users,
which can be enabled or disabled. After this function is enabled, the remote
measurement will be checked before instrument output. If the remote sense ter-
minals (SL+, SN-) are inverted, the protection will be activated and the output
will be stopped. When this function is disabled, the instrument will not check
whether the remote sense terminals have been connected before output.
Set the Sense Check Protection
1. Press the composite keys [Shift] + [F-set](Protect) to enter Protect menu
interface.
2. Rotate the knob to select Sense Check and press [Enter] key to confirm.
3. Rotate the knob to switch On and Off options. After selecting On or Off,
press [Enter] key to confirm.
• Off: Default value, indicating that the Sense Check protection is disabled.
• On: indicate that the Sense Check protection is enabled.
4. Press [Esc] to exit the protection menu setting.
Clear protection status
When protection occurs, the instrument responds as follows:
• The instrument output is turned off, and other keys (except the [Esc] key)
are locked.
