Compressor
ACCESSING:
DESCRIPTION: Use this screen to set the operational
characteristics of the compressor.
COMPRESSOR INFO
[Compressor Name] - An alpha-numeric name
will be shown here. Select this button to change
the name.
[Compressor Model] - Selecting this button will
cause a pop-up list of compressor models to ap-
pear. Select the model for this compressor.
[Compressor S/N] - This will show the serial
number for the compressor. Only qualifi ed ser-
vice personnel should ever change this.
CAPACITY SLIDE
[Maximum Capacity Slide Position] – When in
Automatic Mode, this value specifi es the maxi-
mum percentage that the Slide Valve will be
permitted to load to. There are two pre-defi ned
ranges that are applied to this setpoint:
If the Maximum Capacity Position were to
be set to 90%, the Slide Valve would be per-
mitted to load to 86% (this 86% values is ar-
rived at by subtracting 4% to the Maximum
Capacity Position setpoint). Once reaching
86%, the Load signal would be turned off,
allowing the Slide Valve to continue in-
crease if necessary.
If the position reached 88% (2% predefi ned
value) the Unload signal would be propor-
tionally pulsed in an attempt to lower the
value back down below the 86%. If, even
with the Unload signal being pulsed, the
Slide valve position continues to increase,
it will be permitted to do so until it reaches
90%, at which time the Unload signal will
be turned fully on, and will remain on un-
til the Slide Valve position decreases below
the 90% value where the Unload signal will
again be proportionally pulsed.
If set to 100%, this portion of the logic will be
disabled.
[Minimum Capacity Slide Position] – When in
Automatic Mode, this value specifi es the mini-
mum percentage that the Slide Valve will be per-
mitted to unload to. There are two pre-defi ned
ranges that are applied to this setpoint:
If the Minimum Capacity Position were to
be set to 30%, the Slide Valve would be
permitted to unload to 34% (this 34% value
is arrived at by adding 4% to the Minimum
Capacity Position setpoint). Once reaching
34%, the Unload signal would be turned off,
allowing the Slide Valve to continue de-
