White BalanceAdjustment
A term that refers to the correctness of colour reproduction under various lighting. If the white balance is
correct, all other colours will be accurately reproduced.
The white balance is usually adjusted automatically. Howevel_ the more adwnced camcorder operator
would prefer to control this function manually and achieve a more professional colour/tint reproduction,

Select Dial
SELECTOPERATION MODE
First turn the Power Dial to "[_)" while pressing
down the loci< button located on the dial,
make sure the vJewfJnder is pulled out.

Press tile Select Dial. Tile Manual Mode Item
Menu appears.
ACCESS WHITE BALANCE ADJUST-
MENT
Move tile pointer and highlight bar to
"W.BALAN( E" by rotating the Select Dial.
Then press it. Tile Manual Mode Item menu
disappears and "W.BAL." appears in tile upper
left corner and "AUTO" appears on the screen.
SET FUNCTION PARAMETERS
Cycle through the awilable settings of the
selected functions by rotating file Select Dial,
and stop when tile one you want is displayed.

Press tile Select Dial again. Selection is complete.

The indication "W. BAL." change to "MANUAL".
To Return To Automatic White Balance...
.... select "AUTO" in step 3. Or set the Power Dial
to "_'.
NOTES:
• White balance cannot be used when RAE/Fffe(ts
Sepia or Monotone are activated.
• During 5-second recording, manually adjusted White
Balance Adjustment settings are used, although other
menu settings are the same as in Full Auto mode.
AUTO,he white balance is adjusted automatically.
