2 System Description
The COMBIVIS connect router is a device that is able to support the remote services as
a stand-alone solution. It enables the use of COMBIVIS connect in all those situations
where for any reason the software solution is not an option. COMBIVIS connect Router
device applies to the automation network with zero impact on the actual devices. No
changesarerequestedtothecongurationofanyoftheexistingdevices.
COMBIVISConnectRouterimplementsaspecicvariantofCOMBIVISconnectRunt-
ime; from the functional point of view this is equivalent to the standard Runtime concepts.
