5.1.3 Procedure for activating the service/diagnostics mode:
NOTE:
The function described in the following is available on KeDrive D3-DA axis
controllers from rmware version V2.20. The service and diagnostics mode is
activated for all axes in the axis group.
The Ethernet interfaces "X40A ECAT IN" and "X40B ECAT OUT" on the KeDrive D3-DA
axis controller are in the EtherCAT® operation mode by default after switching on for the
rst time.
So that via this interface with the aid of a PC with KeStudio DriveManager installed
it is possible to establish a connection to the axis controllers also without control,
the EtherCAT® interfaces in the axis controllers must be switched to the service and
diagnostics mode.
Take the following steps to switch over the EtherCAT® interface:
1. Identify rst axis controller after the supply unit, expansion or capacitance module.
NOTE:
It is necessary to identify the rst axis controller (cross-communication master)
on the right side of the power supply within the cross-communication to
activate the service and diagnostics mode. Depending on the combination
with or without expansion or capacitance module and the required number of
axes, the cross-communication may be interrupted at an expansion module.
In this situation the next axis controller after the expansion module is a new
cross-communication master (CCMaster) and opens a new cross-commu-
nication group. Service and diagnostics mode must then be switched on
separately for this cross-communication group.
