5.3.2.3 – AUTO CHECK FOR UPDATES
An on/off switch that enables or disables automatic editor update checking.
• When enabled, the K-Mix Editor will automatically check if there is an available update every time
the editor is opened. If a newer editor is available a popup dialog will appear notifying you of the
available update.
• When disabled, the K-Mix Editor will not automatically check for available updates. You must
manually check for an update by using the Check For Updates option in the editor’s Help menu.
• By default, automatic update checking will be enabled.
5.3.3 – SAVE GLOBALS BUTTON
Used to save the current state of all global settings to the K-Mix hardware’s internal memory.
Any changes made in the editor to “global” parameters (parameters that are not stored on a per preset
basis) will be immediately reected and heard on the connected mixer, but they will not be stored in its
internal memory. If power is lost and the K-Mix is turned on again, all changes will be lost; it will boot up
with its last saved state. When you have found settings you would like to keep, it is wise to use the Save
Globals button to make sure your global settings are not forgotten.
The other method to make sure your global settings are remembered between power cycles is to power
down your K-Mix by holding down the [ ] for three seconds. Powering down in this manner will ensure all
global settings are saved to your K-Mix’s internal memory; simply unplugging your K-Mix from its power
source will not do this. More information about global parameters can be found in section 5.1.1.10 –
