DO I NEED A COMPUTER TO USE K-MIX?
No, K-Mix can function as a completely standalone mixer. All EQs, compressors, noise gates, reverb, etc. live on
the board. Just power up K-Mix via a USB power supply and you’re good to go!
Please note that while most parameters can be accessed directly from the K-Mix hardware, there are some
parameters that can only be accessed via the K-Mix Editor software, which does require connection to a
computer to function. Though, once you have edited these parameters via the editor they can be saved on the
K-Mix itself, enabling you to use your changes standalone, away from the computer.
Editor-only parameters are as follows:
• Rumble Filter On/Off
• Rumble Filter Frequency
• Surround Speaker Layout selection
• Bass Management On/Off
• Bass Management Crossover Frequency
• Surround Panner assignments
• USB Pre/Post settings
• MIDI CC/Note assignments
• Input Channels 3–8 Line/Phono Switches
• Pass Thru On/Offs
• Expander Control
• Phones Output Gain
• Editor + Mixer View Linking On/Off
WILL K-MIX REMEMBER MY PREVIOUS SETTINGS THE NEXT TIME I TURN IT
ON?
Yes, it is possible for K-Mix to remember your previous settings the next time it is turned on, even if you did not
save any of the changes made.
• In order for K-Mix to power up in the exact same state as it was powered down, you must manually power
down your K-Mix by pressing and holding the [ ] button for three seconds. When powered down this way
K-Mix stores its current settings internally and automatically recalls them the next time it is powered on.
• Simply disconnecting K-Mix from its power source will not store the current settings for later; any unsaved
changes will be forgotten when K-Mix is next powered on.
WILL K-MIX WORK WITH COMPUTERS RUNNING WINDOWS?
No, we do not currently support K-Mix for computers running Windows operating systems. K-Mix will not
function when connected to a computer running a Windows operating system.
