2.9 Installing remote control
Remote controls are optional. To enable remote operation, connect the remote control device to the X5 FastMig welding
equipment. The remote control mode can also be set and adjusted in the control panel settings ("Auto control panel: Sys-
tem settings" on page90 or "Manual control panel: Settings" on page75).
Remote control HR43/HR40
1. Connect the remote control cable to the wire feeder's control cable connector.
2. To adjust the remote control parameters, refer to the control panel settings.
For the HR40 remote control, welding equipment firmware version 1.30 or newer is required. Check the currently
installed version in the Auto control panel's Info view (select 'Device info') and in the Manual control panel's
advanced settings (select 'Info'). For more information on firmware updates, contact your local Kemppi dealer.
