– For 4-wire resistance measurements, the instrument automatically pairs channel n in Bank 1 with channel n+10
in Bank 2 (DAQM900A or DAQM901A) or n+8 (DAQM902A) to provide the source and sense connections. For
example, make the source connections to the HI and LO terminals on channel 02 in Bank 1 and the sense con-
nections to the HI and LO terminals on channel 12 (DAQM900Aor DAQM901A) or 10 (DAQM902A) in Bank
2.Specify the paired channel in Bank 1 (source) as the <ch_list> channel (paired channels in Bank 2 are not
allowed in the <ch_list>).
– When you initiated a measurement on the selected channels, the acquired temperature is saved in reading
memory in the reference register. Subsequent thermocouple measurements use the saved temperature as their
reference.
– At power-on, the reference register is loaded with "9.9E+37". Note that after you have saved a reference tem-
perature, all thermocouple measurements that specify an external reference source will be returned as
"9.9E+37". Use the [SENSe:]TEMPerature:TRANsducer:TCouple:RJUNction:TYPE EXTernal? command to read
the most-recently saved reference temperature value.
[SENSe:]TEMPerature:TRANsducer:{FTHermistor|THERmistor}:TYPE {2252 | 5000 | 10000 | MIN |
MAX | DEF} [, (@<ch_list>)]
[SENSe:]TEMPerature:TRANsducer:{FTHermistor|THERmistor}:TYPE? [{(@<ch_list>) | MIN | MAX |
DEF}]
Only supported in DAQM901A, DAQM902A, and DAQM908A multiplexer modules.
Parameter is shared between FTHermistor and THERmistor measurements. Setting or querying the parameter
with the FTHermistor version of this command is identical to setting or querying it with the THERmistor ver-
sion.
Selects the thermistor type for 2-wire and 4-wire temperature measurements.
Parameter Typical return
{2252|5000|10000} Default: 5000 2252, 5000, or 10000
Sets the 2-wire thermistor type as 5000: TEMP:TRAN:THER:TYPE 5000
– The instrument supports 2.2 kΩ (YSI 44004 Series), 5 kΩ (YSI 44007 Series), and 10 kΩ (YSI 44006 Series) ther-
mistors.
– This parameter is set to its default value after a Factory Reset (*RST command).
