*RST
Reset Command. Resets the instrument to the Factory configuration. See Factory Reset State for a complete listing
of the instrument's Factory configuration.

Resets the instrument: *RST
– This command does not affect any stored instrument states (*SAV), and non-volatile settings such as I/O con-
figuration, user preferences, or the calibration security state.

Save and recall command. Save the current instrument state to, or recalls the instrument state from, the state file
STATE_<n>.sta in the root folder of the internal flash file system, where <n> is the location number specified.

*SAV <n> is equivalent to MMEMory:STORe:STATe "INT:\STATE_n.sta".

*RCL <n> is equivalent to MMEMory:LOAD:STATe "INT:\STATE_n.sta".
– LAN I/O configuration is not saved by a *SAV operation or recalled by a *RCL. Only instrument configuration is
recalled.
– State "0" is the state of the instrument at power down. The state file created by *SAV 0, called STATE_0.sta, is
overwritten with the power-down state of the instrument when power is cycled.
– The instrument state enable settings are saved in non-volatile memory. They do not change when power has
been off, after a Factory Reset (*RST), or after an Instrument Preset (SYSTem:PRESet).
