– The CONFigure:VOLTage[:DC], MEASure:VOLTage[:DC], [SENSe:]VOLTage[:DC]:NPLCycles, [SENSe:]VOLTage
[:DC]:RESolution commands automatically disable the aperture time mode, and select an integration time in
number of power line cycles.
– This parameter is set to its default value after a Factory Reset (*RST command).
[SENSe:]VOLTage[:DC]:APERture:ENABle {OFF | ON} [, (@<ch_list>)]
[SENSe:]VOLTage[:DC]:APERture:ENABle? [(@<ch_list>)]
Enables the setting of integration time in seconds (called aperture time) for DC voltage measurements. If aperture
time mode is disabled (default), the integration time is set in PLC (power-line cycles).
Parameter Typical return
{OFF | ON}. Default: OFF 0 (OFF) or 1 (ON)
Enable aperture time mode, set the aperture time to 300 ms:
VOLT:DC:APER:ENAB ON
VOLT:DC:APER 300E-03
– The CONFigure:VOLTage[:DC], MEASure:VOLTage[:DC], [SENSe:]VOLTage[:DC]:NPLCycles, [SENSe:]VOLTage
[:DC]:RESolution commands automatically disable the aperture time mode, and select an integration time in
number of power line cycles.
– This parameter is set to its default value after a Factory Reset (*RST command).
[SENSe:]VOLTage[:DC]:IMPedance:AUTO {OFF | ON} [, (@<ch_list>)]
[SENSe:]VOLTage[:DC]:IMPedance:AUTO? [(@<ch_list>)]
Enables or disables automatic input impedance mode for DC voltage measurements.
Parameter Typical return
{OFF | ON}. Default: OFF 0 (OFF) or 1 (ON)
Make all DC voltage measurements with a 10 MΩ input impedance: VOLT:IMP:AUTO OFF
– OFF: The input impedance for DC voltage measurements is fixed at 10 MΩ for all ranges to minimize noise
pickup.
– ON: The input impedance for DC voltage measurements varies by range. It is set to "HI-Z" (>10 GΩ) for the 100
mV, 1 V, and 10 V ranges to reduce the effects of measurement loading errors on these lower ranges. The 100 V
and 300 V ranges remain at a 10 MΩ input impedance.
– The CONFigure:VOLTage[:DC] and MEASure:VOLTage[:DC] commands automatically select "AUTO OFF".
– This parameter is set to its default value after a Factory Reset (*RST command).
