Cruise Control (CC) (if
equipped)
Cruise Control allows you to program
the vehicle to maintain a constant speed
without pressing the accelerator pedal.

above approximately 20 mph (32 km/h).
僅 If Cruise Control is left on, (CRUISE

ter appeared) Cruise Control can be
switched on accidentally. Keep Cruise
Control off (CRUISE indicator light
OFF) when Cruise Control is not in
use, to avoid inadvertently setting a
speed.
僅 Use Cruise Control only when travel

ing on open highways in good
weather.
僅 Do not use Cruise Control when it may
not be safe to keep the car at a con
-
stant speed, for instance, driving in
heavy or varying traffic, or on slippery
(rainy, icy or snow-covered) or wind

ing roads or over 6% uphill or down-
hill roads.
僅 Pay particular attention to the driving
conditions whenever using Cruise
Control.
During normal Cruise Control operation,
when the switch is activated or reacti
-
vated after applying the brakes, Cruise
Control will energize after approximately
3 seconds. This delay is normal.
To activate Cruise Control, depress the
brake pedal at least once after turning
the ENGINE START/STOP button to the
ON position or starting the engine.
Misuse of Cruise Control
Do not use Cruise Control if the traffic
situation does not allow you to drive
safely at a constant speed and with suf

ficient distance to the vehicle in front.
Cruise Control switch

Cruise Control.
