Safe Exit Warning (SEW) (if
equipped)
After the vehicle stops, when an
approaching vehicle from the rear area
is detected as soon as a passenger
opens a door, Safe Exit Warning will
warn the driver with a warning message
and an audible warning to help prevent
a collision.
CAUTION
The timing of the warning may vary
depending on the speed of the
approaching vehicle.
Detecting sensor

NOTICE
For more details on the precautions of
the rear corner radars, refer to "Blind-
Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA) (if
equipped)" on page 6-37.
Safe Exit Warning settings
Safe Exit Warning
With the ENGINE START/STOP button in
the ON position, and select 'Driver Assis
-
tance → Blind-Spot Safety → Safe Exit
Warning' to turn on Safe Exit Warning
and deselect to turn off.
WARNING
If 'Safe Exit Warning' is deselected, the
function cannot assist you.
NOTICE
If the engine is restarted, Safe Exit Warn
-
ing will maintain the last setting.
