Technical Data
8.4 Center of Pressure COP Accuracy
The distribution of the applied force into the four sensor
elements can be used to calculate back to the center of
pressure (COP or point of force application) expressed by
its coordinates a
x and ay.
The accuracy of the calculated COP coordinates
depends on:
the COP coordinates itself (best in the force plate center)
force plate mounting
The mounting situation influences the geometrical force
plate parameter a
z0. For improved COP accuracy it can be
measured and adjusted to the current situation.
Please refer to the instruction manual 002-034 "Force
Plate Installation and Maintenance" for detailed pro-
cedures and information.
